The illustrations for “Elves”are nearing conclusion. One elf to go! Even though I’m not the illustrator, I find the process fascinating, and the collaboration of conveying the story through visuals is a lot of fun. Helen Haiz Olaussen does a wonderful job making my elves come to life.
Here’s a sneak peek of how the light elf came about:
But can you guess which elf this is going to be:
Lots of stories to push out, and lots of covers to accompany them. So much fun! 🙂
Right now, I’m working on the covers for two companion stories. These are short Aradrain Myths that precedes the events in the Elemental Monarchs Saga, but is part of the Aradrian mythology.
Here’s how one cover is developing. I might still make a few tweaks, though (illustration made by Poyjeee):
Wow! That was a lot of fun! We celebrated with drawing dragons, eating candy, and a dragon cake 🙂 We even ended up the local paper! I’m really excited about all the kids who will read and enjoy this book that is a complete work of love. 🙂
Headline reads: From her sons idea to finished product. Linn Tesli could finally launch her first children’s book on Saturday afternoon.
The response was great, and it was especially nice to see how the children seemed to really immerse themselves into the world of dragon’s we’ve created. Not only that, but they drew dragons of their own. Wonderful wondrous dragons! Some of which you can see in this post! 🙂 Happy times!
My children’s book is launching on Saturday! I’ll pop in for an update. 🙂
Wishing you all a sparkling, magical week!
